Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) validates your understanding of Scrum and the Scrum Master accountabilities. It is widely recognized as proof of fundamental Scrum mastery.

No. It is a lifetime certification (no annual renewal fee).

$200 USD per attempt. The assessment password is valid for one attempt and does not expire until used.

No prerequisites. Training is recommended but not required. You can purchase and take the assessment anytime.

You can retake as many times as you like by purchasing another attempt; there is no mandatory waiting period. Free retakes are offered only to attendees of official Scrum.org classes who fail within the stated time window.
